Visually impaired duo fulfils sound dreams
Ludhiana: Thirty-six-year old visually challenged Sandeep Singh and his 43-year-old friend Gurpreet Singh Chahal, who is also visually challenged, have become an inspiration for others as they have started web radio 'Sach dee Goonj' with a vision to bring the visually challenged artists and achievers at par with others. They have their listeners not only in India, but also across the world.

The disabled (as defined by the 1995 Persons with Disabilities Act) are roughly 2.21 per cent of the population as per the 2011 Census. If the elderly are included (another 6 per cent), it is a huge, and almost totally untapped market, but one which Indian enterprise doesn’t seem to be keen to tackle.
