तेजप्रकाश सैनी,मुरादाबाद : बेसिक शिक्षा परिषद द्वारा संचालित नेत्रहीन व मूकबधिर के स्कूल पर ताला लगाने की तैयारी है। समाज कल्याण विभाग ने अपनेराजकीय स्वच्छकार पद्धति कालेज में संचालित समेकित शिक्षा शिविर (स्कूल) को खाली कराने का अल्टीमेटम बेसिक शिक्षा विभाग को दे दिया है। दस नवंबर 2017 तक यह कैंपस खाली करना होगा। इन बच्चों की पढ़ाई पर संकट खड़ा हो गया है। वहीं नेत्रहीन, मूकबधिर के लिए राजकीय स्वच्छकार आश्रम पद्धति कालेज सुरक्षा की दृष्टि से भी उचित है। लाचार बच्चों की सुरक्षा को ध्यान में रखते हुए बेसिक शिक्षा विभाग को इतना सुरक्षित विद्यालय मिलना मुश्किल है। इसमें 60 बच्चों में कुछ नेत्रहीन

RAJSHAHI: Some 100 visually impaired people were given white canes here on Sunday for making them safe and secured during their mobility, reports BSS.

Zila Parishad authorities provided the canes at a simple ceremony in the city.

Zila Parishad Chairman Muhammad Ali Sarker, Chief Executive Officer Dr Dewan Shahriar Firoj, Panel Chairman Naimul Huda and General Secretary of National Blind Welfare Association Habibur Rahman Khan joined the distribution ceremony.

October was World Eye Care Awareness Month and is something I feel very strongly about. I want to succeed in work and life but it has been a tough journey on the career front so far. Punjab University (PU) today installed two scanners for visually impaired students of the varsity.

According to PU librarian Dr Raj Kumar, with the help of scanners, visually disabled students can scan books, notes, magazines and other study material. After scanning, it gets stored in their laptop or computer in the PDF format. Then the text could be converted into audio book. The total cost of the scanners with software is around Rs 1.3 lakh.
