First ever blind football game to be held in Goa from Sep 2

Panaji, Aug 31 (UNI) Indian Blind Football Federation and Society for Rehabilitation of the Visually Challenged (SRVC) will be conducting the first-ever blind football demo game in Goa with an aim to introduce the game and to encourage blind footballers to take up the game and form a state side in the future.
The Goan chapter of National Association for the Blind along with FC Goa and Chowgule Sports Center is organizing the demo game on of September 2 at the Futsal Arena at the Chowgule Sports Center in Gogol, Margao.

After sustained special education, speech therapy, physiotherapy, occupational and vision therapy, he can sit up and perform daily activities like eating and drinking with limited assistance. He is also doing well in areas like fine motor and gross motor skill development, socialisation and communication.

The startup technology is being incubated by students at UAEU's Science and Innovation Park.

What started as an idea to help a visually-impaired schoolmate, developed into a smart technology that will allow visually-impaired people to read. Students at the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) in Al Ain have developed a pocket-sized smart reading device called Braille Eye. The startup technology is being incubated at UAEU's Science and Innovation Park.

NDMC announces athletics championship for the disabled

The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) has decided to hold an athletics championship for the differently-abled of the national Capital. The athletics meet will be held from October 11-13 this year at Talkatora Stadium.

In this regard, the body has already invited entries from visually impaired and orthopedically challenged students in the age group of 11-14 years under junior category and 15-18 years under senior category for the athletics meet.

The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) has decided to institute an athletics championship for the differently-abled. The civic body has invited entries from visually impaired and orthopedically challenged students in the age group of 11- 14 years under the junior category and 15-18 years under the senior category for the athletics meet to be held form October 11 to 13.

CISF widening base to cover private airports in India: Director-General

CHENNAI: The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) will widen the security blanket to cover private airports in a phased manner.

Plans are afoot to induct an additional 20,000 security personnel across all airports in the country, said Director-General OP Singh.

“We will have a unified command for all 98 airports,” said Singh. “The focus will be on digital surveillance video analytics and perimeter screening,” he said during an interactive session on ‘Safety and Security of Airports’ organised by Air Passengers’ Association of India.

With the introduction of ₹200 notes, the problem people have been facing due to high-value ₹2,000 notes is expected to be resolved.

NEW DELHI -- The Reserve Bank will launch ₹200 banknotes for the first time on Friday, increasing the availability of lower denomination currency in the system.

The bright yellow coloured notes will hit the market just a day after the announcement by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley that the government has given go-ahead to the RBI to issue the new currency bill.

A delegation of differently abled people met the Bharatiya Janata Party Uttarakhand unit president Ajay Bhatt demanding a strong Divyang Ayog, reservation in politics and some amendments in Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.
