Ability Foundation
Established in 1995, Ability Foundation works for the empowerment, integration and rights of people with disabilities. With mainstreaming and inclusion as its constant theme, the Foundation has initiated a slew of innovative programmes that aim at total inclusion of people with disabilities.
Xavier's Resource Centre for the Visually Challenged (XRCVC) Dr. Sam Taraporevala (Director)
The centre conducts various training programmes for the students as well as for outsiders such as: 1. English Language: English Language training focuses on spoken and written communication. The students work with our English Trainer on sentence construction, vocabulary building, essay writing etc. 2. Computer Use and Aapplications: Our Training and Development Officer conducts personalized computer courses based on the students' requirements.
Samanvai Center for Children with Multiple Disabilities
Samanvai is a non-profit organization started by volunteers interested in helping those with disabilities active in the field of disability.
Ahalia Foundation Eye Hospital Mr.AjiKumar
As part of Ahalia's community out reach programs, they are conducting free screening camps, surgeries, subsidized treatments and distribute medicines and spectacles for the under privileged section of society. They are given food, accommodation, transportation, medicine, spectacles and other facilities completely free of cost.
