Visually impaired Atul Sahay joins Lions Clubs Internation

Atul Ranjan Sahay, a visually impaired person joined as a member of Lions Club of Jamshedpur Tatanagar. Membership of Lions Club of Atul Ranjan Sahay for his Lions Club was sponsored by Rajnish Kumar, Second Vice District Governor(Elect) which was readily agreed by the Club Board. He joined the club with two other new members Vijay Kumar Singh and a lady Nutan Gupta. Sahay is a senior manager at Tata Steel.

Chelsea yoga instructors offer class to help benefit Seva Foundation

Area yoga teachers will be offering a special class to benefit the visually impaired.

Local teachers Janine Bennett, Andrea Jennings, Nicole Tweedie, Sue Whitmarsh and Joan Wolf will be joining Michelle Massey-Barnes in her studio as part of Yoga for Sight from 6-7:30 p.m., Friday, June 20 at the Chelsea Clocktower. The event will help the Seva Foundation’s work to help people see again.

The Seva Foundation was founded in Chelsea 35 years and is now based in California. The foundation has helped 3.5 million to see again.

Devanagari OCR Scanning Software

Devanagari OCR Software is used with JAWS latest version 14 Talking Software to read printed books, letters, agreements, etc. in Hindi & Marathi Languages.

The software simply scans the printed document placed on a flatbed scanner and converts the printed material to softcopy which is read by the JAWS software.

This softcopy which is in Unicode format can easily be converted to Braille using the Duxbury software for speedy Braille production.
