To mark the start National Eye Health Week, Lenstore has investigated the state of the world's eyesight. They've used their research to create an infographic about visual impairment around the world, to raise awareness about some of the key issues.

Asif Iqbal is a consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers; Sk Mozammal Haque a businessman; Raja Faiyaz and Subhasish Bandyopadhyay theatre activists. All of them are blind. They, along with sculptor Benode Behari Mukherjee who taught at Kala Bhavan in Santiniketan, feature in a 13-episode television documentary conceived by a man who is also blind.

Union Bank of India has launched its 101st Talking ATM in the country at Samantarapur in the outskirts of Bhubaneswar city. Which is the 4616th ATM of the Bank and first  talking ATM in the state of Odisha and in Bhubaneswar. Chairman & Managing  Director Shri D. Sarkar inaugurated the ATM in the presence of OAB (Odisha Association for the Blind) Office bearers, assembly of members, and valued customers. Bank’s Field General Manager, Kolkata Shri Raman Aggarwal and Shri R.P. Mishra, Deputy General Manager, Bhubaneswar were also present on the occasion.
