4 days Aadhaar Card Camp For The Visually Impaired Persons

NAB  Department of Advocacy is organizing a Aadhar camp  for obtaining unique Identity  Card  in collaboration with the BMC (Brihan Mumbai Mahanagar Palika ) and Unique Identification Authority Of India Aadhaar which will empower
visually impaired people in accessing services such as the formal banking system and give them the opportunity to easily avail various other services provided by the Government and the private sector.

One-day Trek

Blind Graduates' Forum of India (BGFI) is conducting a 1-day trek to Karnala Fort, Near Panvel, District Raigad, Near New Mumbai on August 15.  It is co-organised along with Young Zingaro trekking Club (YZ).  Escorts for all the blind participants will be arranged by the YZ club.

Chess Olympiad for the Blind

India is hosting the worlds highest chess event 'the 14th IBCA Chess Olympiad 2012' for visually impaired, this is the only time it is happening outside Europe since its inception in 1959.

More than 180 players from 35 countries with former World Champions, more than 25 International Masters and 100+ FIDE Rated Players will be taking part.

2nd FLASHPOINT Human Rights Film Festival

The 2nd FLASHPOINT Human Rights Film Festival will be held in New Delhi from February 3rd - 5th, 2012 at Alliance Francaise de Delhi.

This year the festival will screen 17 films that take a critical and empathetic look at several human rights issues – from religious fundamentalism, communal violence, political authoritarianism, war crimes, homophobia, surrogacy, migrant rehabilitation, women empowerment, corruption and poverty.

Indian Blind Sports Federation Silver Jubilee Celebration

The Indian Blind Sports Association (IBSA) as you may be aware, is a premier national sports organisation in the blindness sector in the country having about  150 institutions/organisations of and for the blind in 25 Indian States as its  affiliates. The Association is affiliated to the Paralympic Committee of India. 

At the international level, the Association is the sole Indian affiliate of the World Blind Sports  Body, the International Blind Sports Federation.
