Clarke School for the Deaf and Mentally Retarded , Chennai, Tamil Nadu was established in 1970 with the aim of giving rehabilitation services to the hearing impaired and intellectually disabled children. The organisation has special schools for hearing impaired and intellectually disabled children. In addition it has a special centre for deafblind children and a rural extension programme for reaching out to rural disabled children. It also implements various government schemes for the disabled and provides free diagnostic services.
Chetanalaya is the most serving non profit organisation in Delhi and Haryana.
Chetanalaya Child Rights Programmes begins with the right to education.
Chetanalaya rums 36 pre school education centers, 46 Non Formal Education Centers, 43 Remedial Education Centers, 3 Night Schools for Working Children and 5 crèches for the children of the working mothers.
Community Based Rehabilitation of people living with various disabilities is another intervention that touches thousands of lives.

Bihar Blind People's Care Society primarily works for the welfare of the visually impaired. It also works for people with Autism, Cerebral palsy and mental retardation. The organizations works towards: • Educating disabled children of all categories and integrating them into normal schools after 5th class. • Bringing into mainstream the children with multiple disabilities. • Restoring vision of people with curable blindness. • Providing vocational training to talented visually impaired children.
