AICFB North Zone Chess Championship for the Visually Challenged 2025
Dear State Coordinators,
We are pleased to invite you to participate in the *AICFB North Zone Chess Championship for the Visually Challenged 2025, jointly organized by the National Association for the Blind Chandigarh, Directorate of Sports, Chandigarh, and All India Chess Federation for the Blind (AICFB)
Venue: UT Sports Complex, Chandigarh
Dates: 10th July to 13th July 2025
Important Points to Note:
1. As this is a FIDE rating championship, all players must renew their FIDE ID.
2. Annual subscriptions ₹150 to AICFB and ₹350 to AICF are mandatory.
3. Accommodation will be provided from 10th July, 10:00 AM onward. Participants arriving earlier must make their own arrangements.
4. No escorts will be allowed without prior permission.
5. Inauguration Ceremony: 10th July at 11:00 AM.
6. Players’ Meeting: 10th July at 12:30 PM – attendance is mandatory.
7. As this is a North Zone event, no direct entries will be accepted.
8. Request all State Coordinators to send the list of selected players by 25th June 2025.
AICFB and NAB strives to give decent accommodation to all the players and escorts at best effort basis. This is done based on the availability of sponsorships as no money is charged for the said accommodation and food or even the tournaments. AICFB and it’s affiliate bodies try to provide these facilities to try and reduce the challenges of players, however in case of any player or escort needs more comfort, he / she could stay on their own as per their choice.
