Combined Notification for Engagement of Apprentices under Apprentices act, 961 over Southern Railway for the year 2024-25

Online applications are invited from eligible candidates for engagement of pprentices for imparting training under the Apprentices Act, 1961 in the designated trades at various Divisions/workshops/Units in the jursidiction of Southern Railway for 2438 slots.

Carpenter : 01 for PwD (HH, LV, OH)
Turner: 01 for PwD (HH, LV, OH)
Wireman: 01  for PwD (HH, LV, OH)
Machinist: 01 for PwD (HH, LV, OH)
Diesel Mechanic: 01 for PwD (HH, LV, OH)
Mechanic Refrigeration & Air conditioning: 01 for PwD (HH, LV, OH)
Mechanic - Machine Tool Maintentice: 01 for PwD (HH, LV, OH)
Passa/Copa: 06 posts for PwD (HH, LV, OH)

Qualifications:
Freshers Category:
Fitter, Welder (Gas & Electric): Passed 10th class with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks under the 10+2 system.
Medical Laboratory Technician (Radiology, Pathology, Cardiology): Passed 12th class with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.

Ex-ITI Category:
Various trades like Fitter, Turner, Machinist, Electrician, etc.: Passed 10th class with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks under the 10+2 system and passed ITI course in the relevant trade in a Government-recognized ITI.

Minimum Age: 15 years
Maximum Age: 22 years (24 years for Ex-ITI and MLT trades) as of the date of notification.

Age Relaxation: PwBD: 10 years

Fee Exemption: SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates are exempted from paying the application fee.
