The National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment invites applications, in the prescribed format, from the eligible candidates for the following posts to be filled on regular basis at NIEPID Head Quarters, RC Kolkata and Composite Regional Centre, Davangere, Karnataka State. 

Post: Assistant Professor
(Special Education) 
No. of post: 01 for Visually Impaired
Age Limit: 45 years
Qualification: 1. Masters Degree with M.Ed. (Special Education) in any  category (full time course) from a RCI recognized Institute with minimum of 55% of marks (full time course).
2. Minimum 5 years experience in teaching/research in the field of Rehabilitation. 

Desirable: Ph.D in related field of Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities. 

The candidates selected on direct recruitment for the posts at NIEPID, NIEPID Regional Centre Kolkata and Composite Regional Centre, Davangere will be governed by the provisions of the New Pension scheme introduced by the Government of India w.e.f.01.01.2004. 

The envelope containing the application should be superscribed as Application for  the post of '
________________________________'. Also the post applied for should be clearly mentioned in the application form in the space provided and should also clearly indicate the Institute/Centre for which application is being submitted.
Applications that are received without such indication are liable to be rejected. 

The filled in applications, in the prescribed format, along with the self attested copies of certificates in support of educational qualifications, experience, caste, disability etc., should reach the Director, NIEPID, Manovikasnagar, Secunderabad 500 009 latest by 05.11.2018. Applications received late/incomplete or not in prescribed format will not be considered.
