Online applications are invited in the prescribed Application Form from eligible candidates at web-link http://as1.du.ac.in/colrec2017/index.php for appointment to the post of Assistant Professor in Sri Aurobindo College(Morning). The last date for receipt of application is June 9 2017 or within 2 weeks of appearing in employment news. 

1 vacancy reserved for VH candidates in the subject of Commerce and 1 vacancy reserved for VH candidate in the subject of Political Science. 

Good Academic record as defined by the University with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR.

A relaxation of 5% may be provided at the Graduate and Masters Level for the Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Differentially-abled (Physically and Visually differentially–abled)/Other Backward Classes (OBC) (Non-Creamy Layer) categories for the purpose of eligibility and for assessing good academic records during direct recruitment to faculty positions. The eligibility marks of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and the relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are permissible, based on only the qualifying marks without including any grace marks procedures.

No application fee will be charged from applicants from SC, ST, PwD and Women Applicants.

Application forms have to be filled only in online mode, as available on the website of the College along with the present advertisement, within the prescribed time limit indicated in the advertisement. No offline forms would be accepted. 

The reservation for applicants from OBC (non-creamy layer), SC, ST and Persons with Disability (PwD) categories will be applicable as per UGC norms. Applicants seeking reservation benefits available for SC/ST/OBC/PwD categories must upload the necessary documents justifying the claim of respective reservation as per Govt. of India lists / rules / norms. The certificate uploaded should be in the format prescribed by the Union Government. In case the applicant wants to claim benefits under the PwD category, the applicant’s relevant disability should not be less than 40 per cent. Proof to this effect in the form of a valid Disability Certificate must be uploaded with the application.
