VADODARA: The Vadodara district branch of the National Association for the Blind,Andhjan Kalyan Trust and Mumbai-based NGO Blind's Dream on Wednesday began a two-day conference to train the visually impaired in cashless transactions.

The workshop was kicked off to mark the World Braille Day. A total of 65 visually impaired teachers, workers and students were imparted training.

The Mumbai-based NGO also felicitated five blind women achievers through national level awards as part of its annual function.

Those felicitated include Poonam Pardesi from New Delhi, Jyoti Malik from Ludhiana, Stace Rodrigues from Goa, Sudha Patel from Nadiad and Mukta Daglifrom Surendranagar.
