2015 graft case: panchayat officer gets 5-yr RI

Gwalior: A Madhya Pradesh Panchayat department official was sentenced to five years imprisonment by a special court in Morena in a 2015 bribery case. Special court judge Ramesh Srivastava found Employment Assistant Vinod Dhakar guilty under various sections of Prevention of Corruption Act for accepting Rs 5,000 from the complainant. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 1 lakh on Dhakar. As per prosecution, Dhakar had sought and accepted the commission for releasing a horticulture scheme related fund to the complainant, a resident of Kailaras town in the district. He was caught by the Lokayukta Police in July 2015 in his office. “Special judge for corruption cases in the district sessions court Ramesh Shrivastava yesterday convicted Vinod Dhakar, an employment assistant working in the Panchayat Department, and sent him to jail for five years. The judge also imposed a fine of Rs one lakh,” Assistant Public Prosecutor Bhupendra Singh said. The judge handed a term of five years to Dhakar under Section 13 (1) (D) of Prevention of Corruption Act and of four years under section 7 of the Act. Dhakar was fined Rs 50,000 under each section of the Act. "Both the sentences will run concurrently," Singh said.

Bhopal: Visually challenged students Devansh, Mohan and Giriraj on Thursday met Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan at the CM House on the occasion of Help Flag Day and pinned a flag to him. Praising individuals and institutes engaged in service of the differently abled on the occasion, Chouhan said that the differently abled persons must also be given a chance to display their talents. Chouhan said that the differently abled children are also our own. God has given them special abilities and skills. He said that it is the responsibility of the human society to ensure that such children have no dearth of anything. Among those present during the meeting were Patron of National Association For the Blind Arun Gurtu, President MS Khan, Vice President Aditi Asnani, Secretary Uday Hathvalne, Treasurer Kamlesh Jaimini, Secretary of voluntary organisation Heal Arti Sharma and others.

Bhopal: Pandit Kunjilal Dubey Rashtriya Sansadiya Vidyapeeth, Bhopal is organising Yuva Sansad Manchan and Competition in educational institutions of Madhya Pradesh regularly since year 2006-07. Bhopal: Regional Museum of Natural History, Bhopal organised the inauguration programme of Hindi Pakhwada (September 14-28 ) on 14 September, 2017. Manoj Kumar Sharma, Scientist-B & In-charge, Beenish Rafat, Scientist-B, Manik Lal Gupta, Scientist-B and all staff member attended the programme. The importance of the Hindi language was discussed during the programme. Museum will organised various competitions during the Hindi Pakhwada to encourage the staff to do work in Hindi language.

lnct world school celebrates hindi diwas

Bhopal: Poetry, storytelling and speech on importance of Hindi marked the ‘Hindi Diwas’ celebration at LNCT World School on Thursday. The School was decked up for the celebration. With an aim to rekindle the love for our official language among students, the School director Mrs. Pooja Shree Chauksey informed the students that on September 14, 1949, the Constituent Assembly of India unanimously resolved that Hindi would be the national language of India. In her address she said “While English is a globally used language and the importance of the same cannot be overlooked, we must not forget that we are Indians first and must respect our national language.” "Hindi is our mother tongue. It is a scientific language. In our thirst for exploring new horizons of knowledge and learning new languages, we should not forget our mother tongue," was the message given by students of the school. The students sang songs in praise of Hindi, and made a presentation of amazing facts regarding the language.
