CRPF family welfare association chief inaugurates  annual fete ‘umang’

Group Centre, Greater Noida in association with President Regional Family Welfare Association organised annual fete ‘Umang-2017' on Friday. Chief Guest, Dr Manu Bhatnagar, President CRPF Family Welfare Association inaugurated the fete. Besides different stalls, free health check up camps by Jaypee, Felix, Yatharth, Sharda and Prayag Hospital were also organised where large number of local publics were examined and medicines were distributed. NGO Sahyog Care, Sharda Institute, Dribbling Academy, DPS and Noida PS and students of N-East States presented X'mas Carols, Nukkad Natak and colourful cultural programme, which were the highlights of the fete. Chief Guest also released 3rd edition of annual house journal ‘Ümang' and ‘Hawks' besides a documentary on VIP Security and training centre. Families of martyrs were also presented souvenir and shawls during the function. Best worker and selected personnel of GC G/Noida who were trained by the local branch of SBI in digital transaction during 2016 were felicitated. Educational institutions like Dronacharya Group of Institution and Innovative Law Collage also announced priority and certain discounts for the wards of CRPF personnel. Various products of Arts and Crafts produced by Regional Welfare Centre of Greater Noida due to declaration of best Group Centre, was also displayed in the stall. Dr Manu Bhatnagar, highly praised the efficiency and skills of regional welfare centre and greeted workers for their success. On this occasion Spl DG, J&K Zone SN Shrivastava (IPS), Pratima Shrivastava, President CFWA, J&K Zone, IGP Northern Sector, DS Chauhan, IPS,  DIGP, Sunil Joon, Babita Joon, President RCWA and Senior Officers and dignitaries, PRO, Birendra Kumar besides large number of local public, members of the force and their families were also present.

AAI organises Workshop on Vigilance as a Mgmt Function

A two-day workshop was organised by Corporate Vigilance Department of Airports Authority of India at Bhopal Airport recently (14th-15th Dec, 2017). The workshop was inaugurated by Suresh N Borkar, GM, Vigilance and around 63 executives and non-executives from various airports of Western Region of AAI participated. The topic of the workshop was ‘Vigilance as a management function' which covered various aspects of vigilance and disciplinary matters. MP Juneja, IEM, AAI, Ex-CTE, CVC & Ex. Addl. Member, Railway Boardspoke on ‘Common Irregularities in Public Procurement Process'. The presentations during the workshop included Vigilance case studies, ECDA Regulations, Vigilance Aspects in Project Management and a presentation by GM (Vigilance). Various issues related to preventive vigilance were intensely discussed and deliberated in the workshop.

CISF Inducts at UIDAI Bengaluru: Total 339 Units of CISF in country

CISF took over the security of Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), Bengaluru with the initial strength of 80 personnel against the total sanctioned strength of 162 personnel recently. With this induction, total units under CISF security cover raised to 339 as on date. This unit is headed by Dy Commandant rank officer. UIDAI Data Centre is located at CA Site No 1, NTI Layout (Rajiv Gandhi Nagar), Kodigehalli, Bengaluru, Karnataka. Security of DATA Centre is of utmost importance as the establishment is very sensitive and confidential biometric and personal information of the residents of India are stored and maintained at this centre. UIDAI is an attachment office under Planning Commission of India, which is created in the year 2006 to develop and implement the necessary institutional, technical and legal infrastructure to issue Unique Identify Numbers of Indian residents that is popularly known as AADHAAR. Bengaluru as a hub of iconic electronic/IT Centres of the country is always under constant threat from anti-national elements. The attack on Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru on 28th Dec, 2005 by terrorists outfits was example of these kinds of serious security threat to various establishments in the region. After taking over security of UIDAI Bengaluru by CISF under its umbrella, the force would take over the security of UIDAI Manesar very soon.

ONGC Para Games Reaffirms its HR Commitment 

The opening edition of the 3-day ONGC Para Games, a unique HR initiative for the specially-abled employees has evoked huge enthusiasm among the 120 participants, out of which 20 were lady sports enthusiasts. In spite of being physically challenged, the participants had shown their mettle and fighting attitude to take part in various sports. Speaking on the occasion, DD Misra, Director-HR, ONGC said, “The philosophy behind conducting the ONGC Para Games is to provide similar sporting avenues to specially-abled employees that the regular employees enjoy.” The valedictory function was graced by George Abraham, the architect behind the concept of Blind Cricket in the country. Incidentally, ONGC is the first corporate in the country to acknowledge the talents of the differently-abled and organize an event of this stature. A total of 46 events were organized over 3 days which comprised of 5 categories in badminton, 3 categories in table tennis, 4 categories in wheel chair and 34 in athletics including 100 meter, 200 meter, 400 meter, 2 km walk, long jump and discus throw.
