CIIVC SRVC Centre has started the registration for the admission to the next batch of computer training for the visually challenged. The details are given below.

 

About CIIVC SRVC

CIIVC SRVC Centre is a training centre which provides computer training exclusively to visually 

challenged youth. This centre is established and run by an NGO named CIIVC SRVC. which is THE

collaboration of CIIVC(Chavara International Institute for the Visually Challenged) and SRVC (Society 

for the Rehabilitation of Visually Challenged). CIIVC SRVC Centre which is being set up with the

vision and mission of empowering the visually challenged people by making them computer literate, 

 

fluent in English, added with good confidence and personality and ultimately enabling them to have a 

good job and to stand on their own leg as a strong support to their family, and as a very good motivation and roll model to the other visually challenged persons.

 

 

Course content:

 

The course content is designed and developed in view of the maximum benefit to the students. It is also updated frequently to include the fast growing developments in the IT field. Here we are providing computer course to the visually challenged students.

 

1. Communicative English:-

This is helpful to make our students confident and efficient to communicate in good English which is 

very essential and to make them employable.

 

2. Mobility and orientation:-

 

Different techniques like sighted guided technique, mobility using white cane, etc. are taught to make the students fit to walk safely and independently in different situations To make our students 

technically advanced and confident to move around safely we also provide SMART CANE(Electronic Cane) training.

 

3. Personality development and soft skill training:-

 

The purpose of which is to improve the personality of the visually challenged persons acceptable and 

adaptable to all types of modern work environment so that they can keep up all the expected standards

of behavior in different situations.

 

Timing: 9 am to 4.30 pm (Monday to Saturday)

 

Mode of selection:

 

Based on aptitude test and personal interview

 

Eligibility

 

1.   +2/PDC or above (Students having the qualification less than +2 also will be selected in some special cases)

Other details:

 

•   We are running the course in collaboration with Enable India Bangalore. We are following the 

 

curriculum of Enable India and the final exam and assessments will be conducted by them.

•   The course is given absolutely free of cost.

•   After the successful completion of the course we will help the students to find the employment opportunities in different companies and organizations. But the performance of the students in the job interview will be the main criterion for getting the job. More than 70% of our students have been successfully employed in different companies and institutions.
