About the Organization:
Saksham Trust is an NGO working for the inclusion and empowerment of persons with visual impairments and other disabilities through education, technology, and accessibility.
Job Summary:
Responsible for teaching computer and digital literacy to students with visual impairments, including basic and intermediate skills and assistive technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct computer training sessions for students with disabilities
* Teach NVDA, JAWS, screen magnifiers, MS Office, internet use, email
* Introduce platforms like Sugamya Pustakalaya and DAISY players
* Maintain lesson plans, attendance, and progress records
* Support digital lab upkeep and basic troubleshooting
* Collaborate with staff for digital integration
* Conduct digital literacy sessions for teachers and caregivers
Required Qualifications:
* Diploma/Bachelor’s in Computer Applications/IT
* 1–2 years teaching experience (preferably in disability sector)
* Proficiency in assistive technologies and troubleshooting
* Good communication skills in Hindi and English
* Patience and adaptability
