Computer Training For Visually Impaired 
Foundation Course in Computers and Employability

We are delighted to announce that RCGF Project Surya, located in InfoPark Cochin in collaboration with EnAble India Bangalore, is commencing a six-month Foundation Course in Computers and Employability specifically designed for individuals with vision impairment. The course starts on 1st December 2025. This course is designed to empower participants with essential skills that will enhance their computer literacy, mobility, life skills, English communication, and employability prospects, enabling them to lead an independent and dignified life.

Course Details:
Duration: 6 months
Timings: 9:30 am to 5:00 pm (Monday to Saturday)

Course Criteria:
1. Age: Not exceeding 40 years.
2. Education Qualification: Minimum Graduation and above (12th in exceptional case).
3. Disability: Individuals with vision impairment.
4.Basic Communication Skill: Proficiency in the English language.

Subjects Covered:
•    Computer Skills: Fundamental computer operations, basics of Microsoft Word, Excel, power point and outlook, internet usage including web browsing and managing Gmail.
Will introduce advanced AI features and device Alexa in the training.
•    Mobility Training: Various cane techniques, seamless navigation of narrow spaces, and sound localization skills development.
•    Volunteer Activity: Exposure to activities such as mall visits, metro journeys, water theme park, teaching signature guides, role model sessions, and gaming activities, among others.
•    Life Skills: Personal growth and success, including time management, problem-solving, decision-making, stress management, and interpersonal skills.
•    English Communication Skills: Enhancement of speaking, listening, reading, and writing abilities to confidently engage in everyday conversations and interactions.
•    Employability Skills: Essential employability skills such as handling responsibilities, note-taking, goal setting, building a learning bank, company visit and fostering trust within a team.

Participants will be awarded certificates upon successful completion of the course with the required attendance.
