The Blind Graduates' Forum of India is organising an inclusive trek on the occasion of India's 73rd Independence Day. The BGFI works to empower the visually impaired community in many ways.

On the occasion of India's Independence Day, the Blind Graduates Forum of India (BGFI) is organising an inclusive trek to the picturesque Sankshi Fort in Maharashtra's Raigad district. This is a magnificent fort built by a king called Sankand is at a height of 800 meters.

The fort is also famous as the Dargyacha Killa, which means Fort of Dargah. This is because there's an ancient dargah or shrine at the foot of the hill. Surrounded by lush greenery, this is an amazing picnic spot.

The BGFI is collaborating with the Young Zingaro Trekking Club (YZ) for the trek. Its a great opportunity for adventure lovers to enjoy the balmy monsoon weather and make new friends.

Santosh Salian, Member, BGFI, is going to be there. After attending a trek last year, he has acquired a taste for adventure.
Last year's trek was an awesome experience. The thrill of walking up a hill to visit an ancient monument is indescribable. Such activities have helped me gain more confidence in myself. For most people, it is hard to imagine that blind people can go on treks but BGFI is changing that mindset and will continue to do so on the future. - Santosh Salian, Member, Blind Graduates' Forum of India
