HARYANA CM ANNOUNCES PROJECT FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Friday announced two major projects for the welfare of persons with disabilities in the State. These included setting up of a Composite Regional Centre at Faridabad and also a manufacturing unit of aids and appliances for physically challenged persons in the district.

Speaking at a social empowerment camp and free distribution of aids and appliances function organized by Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment at Faridabad, Khattar urged the Corporate sector, Non Government Organizations and other social organizations to come forward to help the physically challenged so as to bring them in the mainstream   and enable them to lead a respectable life. Besides, he also urged these organizations to overwhelmingly participate in the change that is taking place in the country. He said the State Government has enhanced the monthly pension of physically challenged to Rs 1600 from November 2016 which is the highest in the country.
