CSIR–Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute (CSIR-CMERI), established in 1958, is the apex R&D institute for Mechanical Engineering under the aegis of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), which is an autonomous organization of the Government of India registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860.

 

CSIR-CMERI is looking for dynamic and competent bright candidates for appointment to the posts of Assistant (General / Finance & Accounts / Stores & Purchase) Grade III and Junior Stenographers at this Institute or for its Centre located at Ludhiana. Candidates fulfilling the essential educational qualification, age etc. may apply online only to the posts, details of which are given below:

Essential Educational Qualification: 10+2/XII or its equivalent and a speed of 80 w.p.m in English/Hindi Shorthand and a computer typing speed of 40/35 w.p.m in English/Hindi and on the basis of competitive proficiency test

 

Upper Age Limit: 28 years

 

Applicants must submit (i) requisite information asked for; (ii) Self attested photo copies of Marks Card / Certificates of all the semesters/years from Matriculation level onwards; (iii) Proof regarding date of birth & age; (iv) SC/ST/OBC/PWD certificates in the case of reserved posts / wherever applicable; (v) Discharge Certificate wherever applicable and applications received after the closing date will not be considered.  Incomplete applications will be out-rightly rejected.

 

The selected candidates will be on probation for a period of one year from the date of taking over charge of the post. The probationary period may be extended or curtailed at the discretion of the Competent Authority. After successful completion of probationary period, they will be considered for confirmation in accordance with the extant rules.

 

Age relaxation of 10 years (OBC: 13 years, SC/ST : 15 years) is allowed to the Persons With Disabilities (PWD) for appointment to Group C posts as per rule.
