JUNIOR JUDICIAL ASSISTANT / RESTORER (OPEN) EXAMINATION - 2026
Online applications are invited from persons, who are citizens of India or subjects of Nepal as per instructions issued by the Government of India from time to time, for filling up following existing vacancies for the post of Junior Judicial Assistant/Restorer and preparing a panel thereof

Essential Qualifications (As on 23.02.2026) :
Graduate from a recognized University and having typing speed of not less than 35 words per minute on Computer.
(Only such candidates, who possess essential qualifications as on the last date of submission of online applications, need to apply.)

Notes :
(i) All the educational qualifications mentioned should be from a University/Institution/ Board recognised by Govt. of India/ approved by Govt. Regulatory
Bodies and the final result should have been declared on or before the closing date for receipt of online applications.
(ii) No off-line application will be accepted/entertained.
(iii) Date of Examinations will be intimated later. Candidates are advised to regularly visit the official website of Delhi High Court i.e. www.delhihighcourt.nic.in for updates.

How to apply :
The candidates shall register for online application using his/her email-ID and mobile number and note down system generated registration/application number for all fbture references.

Application Forms shall be filled up online by visiting the website of Delhi High
Court, i.e., www.delhihighcourt.nic.in.

In the online Application Form, candidates are required to upload the scanned colour passport size photograph in JPEG format (100 KB to 200 KB). The photograph should not be more than three months old from the date ofpublication of the Notice of Examination. Image dimension of the photograph should be about 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5cm (height). The photograph should be without cap/mask and spectacles

If the proper photograph is not uploaded by a candidate, his/her candidature will be cancelled.

The candidates are required to upload their left hand thumb impression in JPEG format (50 KB to 200 KB). In case of any eventuality of left hand thumb unavailable, right hand thumb impression may be used

The Certificate of Disability issued as per relevant rules under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (RPwD) Act, 2016 will be considered valid for the period specified therein.

Candidates belonging to PwBD Category, having a benchmark disability to the extent of 40% or more and wish to opt for either availing the services of scribe or compensatory time during the Examination (Preliminary as well as Main), are required to submit a Certificate (in original) in the prescribed format (Annexure–
' A’) regarding physical limitation in an examinee to write which shall be issued by CMO / Civil Surgeon / Medical Superintendent of a Government Healthcare Institution / Hospital. The Certificate should be given by a Specialist of the relevant stream / disability. The candidates are also required to submit an affidavit on a non-judicial stamp paper of Rs.10/- duly attested by Notary, in the prescribed format (Annexure–'B’).

 A candidate applying for the examination cannot act as a scribe for another candidate in the same examination. If at any stage it is found that a candidate has assisted another PwBD/PwD candidate(s) as Scribe in this examination then the candidature of both the candidates will be cancelled.

Candidates must ensure that the information furnished in respect of the scribe is correct. If at any stage during or after the examination, it is found that a candidate (PwBD/PwD) has availed the facility of scribe and the scribe is found to be an impersonator and / or any information furnished by the scribe or the candidate is found to be false/incorrect, then the candidate shall be held liable for the same and candidature of such candidate (PwBD/PwD) shall be cancelled forthwith

The facility of scribe will also be provided to PwD candidates having disability less than 40% and having difficulty in writing in pursuance to OM No.29-6/2019-DD-III dated 10.08.2022 issued by Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. The facility will be provided on production of certificate as per Annexure-' Al ’

The facility of scribes/passage reader will be provided to the PwBD/PwD candidates only if he has opted for the same in the online application form.
(xx) The candidate will have the discretion of opting for his own scribe or to avail the facility of scribe provided by this Court. Appropriate choice in this regard will have to be given by the candidate in the online application form

All such candidates, who opt for scribe facility or for compensatory time without  scribe, would be allowed 40 minutes’ time in addition to the prescribed time, subject to the condition that they must submit the aforesaid Certificate (in original) and the affidavit in the office of the Deputy Registrar (ExaminationsNon Judicial) in advance at least 5 days’ prior to the date(s) of Examination or must bring the same at the Examination Centre itself on the date(s) of Examinations (Preliminary as well as Main), failing which, they will not be allowed to avail the services of either scribe or compensatory time. However, those candidates who opt for scribe facility to be provided by the Delhi High Court need not submit any affidavit

A scribe shall not give assistance to more than one candidate in the same examination.

Candidates, who wish to avail the facility of scribe in the Preliminary Examination, should note that they will not be allowed to read the Question Paper or Mark/Write Answers of their own and only the scribe will be allowed to read out the Questions and Mark/Write Answers. Similar will be the position in Main (Descriptive) Examination.
