Mon, 07/11/2016 - 11:29 -- geeta.nair

BENGALURU: Visually and hearing impaired adults on Friday experienced their first ride on a portion of Namma Metro’s underground Corridor with the help of an NGO and IT concern, who facilitated it.  Sense International India had organised the ride for 34 visually and hearing impaired adults along with their interpreters from Swami Vivekananda Metro station to Cubbon Park Metro station. Thirteen volunteers from Cognizant also took part. The adults were from different parts of South and West India, said a release from Sense International. The trip was organised as part of the national training of adults suffering from both the sensory impairments. The group was delighted with the experience and the disabled-friendly facilities of Metro trains.
