The Magizhvi Foundation and District central library  Coimbatore, is delighted to announce the commencement of a specialized 3-week Mobility Training Program designed for visually impaired students. This program aims to empower participants with essential skills for navigating both indoor and outdoor environments independently, thereby enhancing their educational and professional prospects.
Duration:
The training duration: 3 weeks, running from June 22nd to July 6th, 2024, with classes held every Saturday from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Eligibility Criteria:
•    Visually impaired candidates (blind/low-vision)
•    Age 18 and above
•    Minimum educational qualification of completing 12th standard
•    Individuals seeking confidence building, personality development, skill enhancement, and increased independence
Benefits:
•    Learn to use a cane effectively for daily mobility.

•    Techniques for mobility and orientation in indoor and outdoor settings.

•    3-hour classes every Saturday, ensuring focused learning.
•    Attendance is crucial for effective course delivery; leave of absence will be granted only in emergencies.
