Moga, January 18
AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal today announced a separate manifesto for the physically challenged people at a rally in support of candidates Daljit Singh Sadarpura (Dharamkot) and Ramesh Grover (Moga).
Kejriwal said pension for the physically challenged persons would be raised to Rs 2,500, which would be directly transferred to their bank accounts. The minimum income condition for pension eligibility would be increased from Rs 12,000 per annum to Rs 1 lakh per annum and the level of disability would be reduced from 50 to 40 per cent on the pattern of Delhi, he said. “Besides, each physically challenged bed-ridden person will be provided caretaker allowance of Rs 5,000 per month,” he added.
