Srikant, who had to give up studies owing to his blindness, again took took admission in Plus III in 2018 and completed  his graduation in political science in 2022 and followed it up with a post graduate degree in 2024. In 2022, he appeared for the OCS exam, but despite clearing the prelims, he  failed to clear the mains.
He again attempted OCS the next year and this time he was  successful. Srikant credited his friends for his success.  They would send him study notes which he would convert into  audio files with the help of a software.
I am happy that I have cleared the OCS exam. I dedicate this  achievement to my parents who are no more. I am grateful to  all those who have helped me in achieving this success,”  said Srikant, who lost his father in 2023 and could not see  his son become a govt officer.
