Kerala State Handicapped Welfare Corporation invites applications for the Sight Scheme, which provides a smart phone to the visually impaired

Applications are invited for the remaining smartphones in the Sight Plan, which provides smartphones for the visually impaired. The application will be available on the Corporation's website http://www.hpwc.kerala.gov.in/. The last date for receipt of applications is till evening. Complete application form and supporting documents should be sent to the scanned mail src.kshpwc@gmail.com

Criteria:

People with 40% visual impairments from  age 18 to age 60 can apply for the smartphone. People with visual impairments greater than 80% will be considered. Preference will also be given to students, women and transgender people.

Annual income should be less than one lakh.

Assistance equipment such as 5 laptops / desktops, mobile phones / tablets, etc., received in the last 6 years from the corporation or local self-governing body should not be applied for.

Applications that do not include the required documents and are not clear or incomplete will not be considered. 

Applicants working in Government / Semi-Government Institutions and Retirees Pensioners are not required to submit application.

Candidates are required to produce an Agreement Paper of Rs.200/-

The Corporation will take legal action if the equipment is adopted or misused contrary to the standards set by the Corporation.
