A trained software engineer, Sachin lives in Davanagere, Karnataka. Employed with a leading IT company, his future looked promising, until he started losing vision at the age of 22. Born sighted, Sachin suddenly found himself struggling with his daily life, job and the people around him.  

He was ready to quit his job as he lost all hope but fortunately Eyeway intervened in time. The counselor advised Sachin to honestly explain his limitations and challenges at work. To his surprise, the supervising manager insisted that he keep the job and asked for necessary accommodations to be made for him to maintain productivity.

After completing a month long training to use computers with the help of screen reading software, Sachin is able to function independently once again. He is back at work, happy and optimistic about his career.

Acquiring blindness at a later stage in life can sometimes be more challenging than being born with it. There is serious acceptance and adjustment involved to move forward in life.
