ONLINE applications are invited from eligible candidates for engagement as Act Apprentices for imparting training under the Apprentices Act-1961 & RBE.No.120/2015 dated 06.10.2015 in the designated trades at Integral Coach Factory, duly giving preference to candidates from Tamil Nadu.

Apprentices will be engaged in the following trades.

Post: Apprentices
Trades and no. of posts:
Fitter: 06 for PwD (Low vision can apply)

Machinist: 01 for PwD ( Low Vision can apply)

Blindness: Blindness refers to a condition where a person suffers from any of the following conditions, namely

(i) Total absence of sight; or
(ii) Visual acuity not exceeding 6/60 or 20/200 (Snellen) in the better eye with correcting lenses.

(iii) Limitation of the field of vision subtending an angle of 20 degree or worse.

Only such persons would be eligible for reservation in services/posts who suffers from not less than 40% of relevant disability.

Disability certificates:
A physically handicapped person who wants to avail the benefits of reservation would have to submit disability certificate issued by the central/state government.

Age : 15 to 24 years.

Age Relaxation: 10 years for PwD candidates.

Qualification: Should have passed Std X (with a minimum of 50% marks) with Science & Maths under 10+2 system or its equivalent and also possess National Trade Certificate in the notified trade issued by the National Council for Vocational Training or State Council for Vocational Training of one year and above.

Period of Training: One year

Freshers: 
Should have passed Std X (with minimum 50% aggregate marks) with Science & Maths under 10+2 system or its equivalent.

Training Period: 2 years

Rate of stipend:
1. Freshers – School pass-outs (class 10th) ₹ 6000/- (per month)
2. Freshers – School pass-outs (class 12th) ₹ 7000/- (per month)
3. Ex-ITI – National or State certificate holder ₹ 7000/- (per month)

Note: During the second year of apprenticeship training, there shall be an increase of 10 percent in the prescribed minimum stipend amount and further 15 percent increase in the prescribed minimum stipend amount during the third year of apprenticeship training.
