During this period, a friend connected him with Eyeway, a support service for people with visual impairment. A counsellor advised him to attend a rehabilitation course at NAB India in Mumbai to learn independent living skills. They also suggested exploring small business options.
Sunny followed this advice and, after regaining confidence through the training, decided to open a shop in his house located in a market area. He started by selling snacks and later added items like towels, napkins, toys, and dress materials. His shop has now been running successfully for three years, earning him a daily profit of ₹500–800.
Recently, Eyeway suggested he start using social media platforms like WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram to promote his products and reach more customers. Sunny is hopeful this will help him grow his business further.
His journey shows how, with persistence and the right guidance, it is possible to rebuild life after setbacks.
