Sunil Kumar, a 26-year-old from Gurgaon, grew up in a family where his mother took responsibility for raising her children after separating from her husband. She worked in different houses to support Sunil and his three sisters and ensured that their education continued.
Sunil continued his schooling like any other child until Class 5, when he developed cataract. In 2017, he lost his vision completely. This sudden change led people around him to doubt his future. Many felt that he would not be able to study or build a career. But his mother always believed education could create opportunities for him.
With her encouragement, Sunil completed Class 10 in 2021 from Hope Foundation in RK Puram and Class 12 from a government school in Gurgaon in 2023. He is currently in the final year of his graduation at Deshbandhu College.
