Trainer-Vision Impairment

Help aspirants with vision impairment build skills, confidence and workplace readiness.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Trainer to deliver an integrated training programme for aspirants with vision impairment. The role involves classroom training, assessment support, post-placement counselling, industry engagement and batch planning.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Deliver training in modules such as; communicative English, , basic computer operations & MS Office,  soft skills, orientation & mobility, grooming and work readiness.
• Provide pre-post-placement counselling and support to aspirants with vision impairment.
• Support pre- and post-training assessments and maintain the training plan/calendar for each batch.
• Network with guest lecturers and industry partners and facilitate relevant field visits as part of sector readiness.
WHO CAN APPLY?
• Graduate/Postgraduate with preferred relevant experience in training aspirants with vision impairment or Low Vision.
• Strong training, English and communication skills, with familiarity with teaching methodologies for persons with vision impairment.

• Good working knowledge of MS Office, especially Word and PowerPoint.
• Proficiency in screen readers such as JAWS and NVDA and other relevant assistive technologies for persons with vision impairment/low vision.
• Strong networking skills and awareness of current training and employment opportunities for persons with vision impairment.
• Strong networking skills and abbility to communicate effectively  with employers.
