The Indian Association for the Special Education and Rehabilitation has been organizing the Lal Advani Memorial Lecture series on the occasion of birth anniversary of Shri Lal Advani on 26 of April on important issues in the field of disability. We have had the privilege of having leading figures in the field of disability to deliver lectures in the past. They include Dr. Uma Tuli (Former Chief Commissioner on Disability), Major General Ian Cardozo (chair person, Rehabilitation Council of India), Professor Amita Dhanda, Dr. Maya Thomas etc. Likewise, this year too we have the privilege of having this lecture by Dr. Sudha Kaul, a leading disability rights activists and a scholar of law. Ms Poonam Natarajan, chair-person National Trust for Welfare for Person with Autism, cerebral palsy, Mental Retardation and Multiple Disabilities has kindly consented to chair the lecture.
