Training on Accessible Mobile Applications

The XRCVC, in collaboration with Saksham Delhi  to announce a one day training module for using accessible applications on the Symbian platform with Nuance Talks screen reading software 0n 27.05.2012.

This program module designed and developed by Prashant Verma, Consultant, Access Technologies and DAISY.

XRCVC is organizing this program as part of the Mumbai Eye Care Campaign of Sightsavers.

Pre-requisites: You should have a latest TALKS Version 5 and with active internet connection.

Trainees should bring their TALKS loaded mobile during the training.

This training will include: Newspaper Reading in Hindi &English, Installation  Configuration of TALKS, Use of the GPS
MAPS Application for Navigation, Reading DAISY  Audio books with DAISY2Go, Text reading - using different formats, Web browsing and many such mobile programs useful for blind.

Trainers: Prashant Naik, Salim Shaikh and Saidarshan Bhagat.

Refundable deposit amount of Rs. 500/-, Lunch and tea will be provided.

Registration: Limited batch size. Admission on first come first serve basis and to those who fulfill pre-requisites as mentioned above.

People can  call up to XRCVC office to register. You need to pay deposit amount at XRCVC only then will your registration will be confirmed.
