Guidance Program for Visually Challenged Students and Teachers

At a time when the Right to Education ( RTE) Act aims at inclusive education for students, no matter their physical disability or economical background, activists too are working in the same direction. Next week, the Jeevan Vidya Mission (JVM) will conduct a guidance program for visually challenged students and teachers, and also distribute books in Braille for free.

"To transform today's students into intelligent, cultured, successful and well behaved personality, JVM organizes counselling programs/seminars for students," said a member on behalf of JVM. Coined 'Drishti Dnyanachi'-vision of knowledge, the program will help students recognise their own mental strength, the power of thoughts and mind and the result of companionship. "While on one hand there will be talks and discussions by experts, we will also bring students who are blind and have overcome this handicap and do well in life," added the member.

Kapil Patil (MLC - Teachers constituency) will also be present at this event which will be held at Damodar Hall, Near Parel Naka on October 9 from 4 to 7 pm.

Entry to this program is free.
