Voice Vision invites you to its back-to-back workshops to be held on 27th & 28th of October 2012.

Details of the workshops are as below:

Day 1: "Disaster Management"
Voice Vision will be conducting a Disaster Management workshop specially designed for the visually impaired on Saturday 27th of October 2012. Disasters, be it Natural or Manmade, have a huge impact on people's lives and livelihoods.

And preparing oneself to handle such situation is very vital in order to lessen this impact. Our instructor, Mr. Pawan Sharma, Director of Securities of a five-star hotel and his team of experts will take us through a series of mock drills and provide tips & techniques for preparing for situations like Floods, fire, earthquake, terrorist attacks among others.

Day 2: "Reading Without Seeing"

Voice Vision brings to you this one-day workshop on accessible technology 360 in collaboration with the Xavier's Resource Centre for the Visually Challenged, (XRCVC), sponsored by Sight Savers, under Mumbai Eye Care program to be held on Sunday, 28th of October 2012.

The workshop will present information and demonstrations of various equipment and infrastructure facilities such as online libraries, access to main stream magazines, newspapers and various tools to read independently alongside display and demonstrations of the various technologies available for the visually impaired related to education, house-hold usage, and many more.

Date: Saturday, 27th October and Sunday, 28th October 2012

 Topic: "Reading without seeing"

 Timing: Saturday, 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm and Sunday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm.

 Venue: Dr. S. Radhakrishnan Vidyalaya, Next to Dalmia College, Sunder nagar, Malad (W), Mumbai-64.

 Fee details: Rs. 350/- inclusive of refreshments.

Due to an overwhelming response for our "Reading Without Seeing" workshop, we have decided to extend the workshop to one and a half days instead of just one day.

So, the workshop timing will now be 27th October Saturday 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm and 28th October Sunday 9:00 am to 5:30 pm.

As a result of this, we have decided to postpone our Disaster Management workshop to a later date. All those who have registered for the Disaster management workshop will be given a refund.
