Sub: Grant of concession to blind and Mentally retarded persons in Rajdhani./Shatabdi trains.

With reference to your letter dated 4.6.2011 on the above subject, it is advised that completely blind persons & Mentally Retarded persons who cannot travel without an escort , are eligible for 25% concession AC 3-tier and AC Chair Car of Rajdhani/Shatahdi trains. One escort with each such person is also granted same concession. This concession is applicable on tickets purchased on and after 1.7.2011.
