Preliminary Examination of the Civil Services Examination for recruitment to the services and posts mentioned below will be held by the Union Public Service Commission on 24th August,2014 in accordance with the rules published by the department of personnel and training in the Gazette of India extraordinary dated 31st May, 2014.
The last day to submit the applications is 30th June,2014 till 11:59pm after which the link will be disabled.
The post is for the states- Delhi, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadeep, Daman and Diu and Dadar and Nadar Haveli only. 
the post is for both low vision and blind candidates.
 

Information

1. candidates are required to apply online by using the website www.upsconline.nic.in.
2. the eligible candidates shall be issued an e-admission certificate three weeks before the commencement of the examination.
3. mobil phones are banned.
4. A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years on the first of August, 2014 that is he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd August and not later than  1st august, 2014.
5. The candidate must be a citizen of India or a subject of nepal or a subject of Bhutan or a Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January, 1962 with an intention to settle permanently or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Uganda, Kenya, The United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently setteling in India.
6. No change of date of birth will be allowed.
7. the physical requirements are: manipulation by fingers, pushing and pulling, kneeling and croutching, bending, standing, writing, hearing, reading and writing, communication.
8. physically handicapped candidates are exempted from payment of fee provided they are otherwise eligible for the appointment to the services/posts to be filled on the results of this examination on the basis of the standards of the medical fitness for these services/posts.
