CSIR-National Geophysical Research Institute (CSIR-NGRI), Hyderabad, is a premier R&Ministry of Science & Technology Govt. Of India involved in multidisciplinary R&D programmes of both basic and applied nature across scientific disciplines for economic, environmental and societal benefits for the people of India. The institute is a Centre of Excellence carrying out multidisciplinary Earth Science research programs viz., Hydrocarbon Exploration; Geochemistry and Geochronology; Mineral and Engineering Geophysics; Groundwater; Seismology; Geodynamics and Theoretical and Computational Geophysics etc.

1. Assistant (General) Gr III [Group-‘C’]

Essential Qualification: 10+2/XII or its equivalent and typing speed of 35 w.p.m in English or 30 w.p.m in Hindi on computer.

2. Assistant (Finance & Accounts) Gr III [Group-‘C’]

Essential qualiication: 10+2/XII or its equivalent with commerce as one of the subject and typing speed of 35 w.p.m in English or 30 w.p.m in Hindi on computer.

3. Assistant (Stores & Purchase) Gr III [Group-‘C’]

Qualification: 10+2/XII or its equivalent and typing speed of 35 w.p.m in English or 30 w.p.m in Hindi on computer.

Age Limit: 28 years
Age relaxation: 10 years is allowed (total 15 years for SCs / STs and 13 years for OBCs in respect of the posts reserved for them), in accordance with the relevant rules.

No fee for PwD candidates.
Visually handicapped (VH) candidates with visual disabilities of forty percent or above can avail the assistance of a SCRIBE in the Written Examination subject to such requests is being made to the Director, CSIR-NGRI. Question Papers and Answer Sheets will not be
provided in BRAILLE.
VH candidates and such PH candidates as are entitled to scribe should specify the medium in which they desire to take the Written Examination. Scribe will be arranged by CSIR-NGRI accordingly.
Persons with visual disability of less than forty percent will not be considered as visually handicapped persons. One eyed candidates and partially blind candidates who are able to read the normal Question Paper set for all the candidates with or without magnifying glass and
who wish to write/indicate the answer with the help of Magnifying Glass will be allowed to use the Magnifying Glass in the Examination Hall and will not be entitled to a Scribe. Such candidates will have to bring their own Magnifying Glass to the Examination Hall.
The speed will be adjudged on the accuracy of typing on the Computer of a given text passage in 10 minutes. Visually Handicapped candidates (with 40% disability and above) will be allowed 30 minutes.
Passage Dictators will be provided to each of VH candidates by CSIR-NGRI for the Typewriting test. The Passage Dictators will read out the passage to the VH candidates within the allotted time period.
