The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) an autonomous institution under the Dept. of School Education and Literacy, MHRD, Government of India. The institute is committed to quality school education through open and distance learning mode upto pre-degree level. The NIOS proposes to fill up the following posts as per details given below:-

 

Posts: 1.  EDP Supervisor 

No. of posts: 51, out of which 01 for Visually Impaired

Pay Band & Grade Pay: Rs. 9,300-34,800 + G.P 4,200/-

 

Age Limit: 37 years

Classification of post : Group ‘B’

Educational and other Qualifications :- Essential 

1. Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University with post graduate diploma in computer application/hardware engineering or its equivalent from a recognized institution.

2. 3 Years experience in programming and system Development in reputed big firms. 

 OR 

Officer of the Central Govt./Autonomous bodies/Research Institutes/Govt. Presses holding analogous posts on a regular basis or with 10 years experience in the scale of 5200-20,200 with G.P 2,400 (Pre-revised 4000-100-6000) or 6 Years service in the scale of 5200-20,200 with G.P 2,800 (Pre-revised 4500-7000)

 

 

2. Junior Assistant

No. of posts: 07, out of which 01 for PwD candidates (Visually Impaired can apply)

Scale of Pay : Rs. 5200-20200 + G.P 1900/- (PB-I)

Age Limit: 27 years

Educational and other Qualifications :- 

Essential:

 

1. Senior Secondary from a recognized Board

2. Working on computers with a speed of not less than 6000 key depressions per hour

3. Working knowledge of Hindi and English

Desirable

1. A Bachelor’s degree

2. A certificate course in Computer Application from recognized Institute

3. About 2 years experience of similar work in Government/Autonomous Bodies Educational Institution.

 

All posts bear All India transfer liability. 

 

Age relaxation is admissible as per Government of India rules.
