AICB Krishnawanti and Manoharlal Memorial Excellence Awards

 

Dr. Ved Prakash  Varma, one of our veteran and ardent well- wishers has instituted two new  Awards in memory of his parents through an endowment made to AICB. These Awards  will be presented each year at a public function to be held at the premises of  All India Confederation of the Blind in Rohini, Delhi, on January 4, the Birth  Anniversary of Louis Braille.

 

The first of these  Awards is intended for the visually impaired student securing first/second  position at the M. Phil examination in any subject except Music and Fine Art,  at a recognized university in the country. The Award carries cash prize of Rs.  25,000.00 and a Citation. Eligible candidates may forward by post their  applications on the prescribed form available on the website to AICB office latest by 31st October 2015.

 

Second Award is  intended for a visually impaired individual securing highest position among  visually impaired candidates taking UPSC’s Civil Services Examination. The  Award carries a Cash prize of Rs.51,000.00 and a Citation.
