The National Institute of Technology Meghalaya invites applications in Prescribed Format from Indian Nationals for appointment on permanent/ contract/ deputation basis, possessing consistently good academic record and requisite qualifications and experience, with commitment to work, passion for teaching & research and an inclination towards 

institutional development, for positions of Assistant Professors and Associate Professors as per the 4-tier flexible cadre scheme. Essential Qualification: Ph. D. with 1st Class at UG & PG levels with consistently good academic record

.

 

Relevant Experience: Associate Professor: Six years after PhD or nine years in total (not counting PhD enrolment period), out of which 3 years should be after PhD.

 

Other Essential Requirements: Four papers in SCI journals outside PhD work; One PhD guided; Two projects; Two experiments or computational projects added to the teaching laboratories; Academic outreach activity equivalent to two short term courses.

 

 

Assistant Professor: Three years at the level of Assistant Professor with AGP of Rs. 8000/- or equivalent in a reputed university, R&D lab or relevant industry. 

 

Other Essential Requirements:At least 2 papers in SCI journals outside Ph. D. work; One project for candidates from academia; 

Two experimental or computational projects added to the teaching laboratories.
