Detailed introductions by all participants, covering why they were here with us, what are the top issues they would like to get solutions for via this programme.
Preeti thereafter spoke about what Silver Linings objectives were and why Dignity.
The top concerns of the participants were, employment, relationship, enhancing technical skills as in usage of computers and smart phones, getting opportunities of social interaction, overcoming inhibitions and how
they could get the society to include them and difficulty faced by them in daily outdoor and indoor activities due to lack of awareness!
Each of these issues were discussed and there were various solutions shared by Preeti and also from within the participants, bringing forth a very rich tapestry of ways to tackle various issues.
Participants who have been attending Dignity sessions for some time now, shared the benefit they have got from being here regularly.
Ms. Binny, who is leading the Dignity project, has been covered by the acclaimed Hindi magazine named Sakhi in their February 2016 edition.
Cooking was discussed and Preeti shared the recipe of a few dishes. We encouraged each one of the participants to practice independent cooking, by most of us sharing tips and ways to approach various dishes.
