The India Vision Institute in partnership with the Australian Consulate General, Mumbai, has organised a ‘Walk in the Dark’ at Worli Sea Face on Sunday morning between 7.15 am and 8.30 am, to raise awareness of how to help eradicate preventable blindness, and the importance of eye care. The participants will walk blindfolded, led by visually-impaired students, to experience first hand the challenges faced by the visually challenged. Over 700 students are expected to participate.
“Walk in the Dark aims to draw attention towards uncorrected refractive error and to show how a pair of spectacles can improve vision,” said Vinod Daniel, CEO of India Vision Institute.
