Essential Qualification: i) Minimum 60% marks (in aggregate) in SSC or HSC, both with Science and Maths.
ii) Trade Certificate of not less than 1 year duration in respective trade (Draughtsman (Civil)/ Electrician/Plumber/Fitter/ Refrigeration & Air-condition Mechanic).
STIPEND PAYABLE FOR STIPENDIARY TRAINEES
First year of Training Rs. 6200/= per month Second year of Training Rs. 7200/= per month
Stipendiary Trainees Category-II will have to undergo a training of two years’ duration.
The training programme will comprise of six months theoretical (class room) training and 18 months of on the job training. On successful completion of training, the Stipendiary Trainee Category-II shall be absorbed in the following posts:
Technician-B (With or without advance increments): Rs.5200-20200 + Grade Pay: 2000
Technician-C Rs. 5200-20200 +Grade pay: 2400
AGE LIMIT: Between 18 to 22 years
Candidates selected against this advertisement are likely to be posted at IGCAR, Kalpakkam but are liable to serve in any part of India and in any constituent unit of the Department of Atomic Energy. METHOD OF SELECTION: The recruitment shall comprise of two stages – Written Examination and Trade Test. The written examination shall be in Maths, Physics, Chemistry of Xth level and the respective trades of ITI level in the form of an objective type paper.

DEFINITION OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES: Only such persons who suffer from not less than 40% of relevant disability and are certified by a Medical Board constituted by the Central/State Govt. would be eligible for reservation. Accordingly, candidates with the following disabilities are eligible to apply. Candidates claiming such benefits should produce certificate in original in support of their claim at the time of Interview/at any stage of the selection process.
VISUALLY IMPAIRED (VH): Low vision: "Person with low vision" means a person with impairment of visual functioning even after treatment or standard refractive correction but who uses or is potentially capable of using vision for the planning or execution of a task with appropriate assistive device.
