Special Recruitment Drive of Teaching Posts in Kendriya Vidyalayas of North Eastern Zone to be filled up through Direct Recruitment Examination in KVS.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan invites online applications from Indian citizens for recruitment of the Teaching staff to the posts of Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs), Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs) and Primary Teacher (PRT) in Kendriya Vidyalayas Drive. The North Eastern ZOne of KVS comprise of Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura states.

Candidates are required to apply online through KVS website www.kvsangathan.nic.in.

Posts:
1. Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) Group-B post
No. of posts: 182, out of which 02 for Visually Impaired
Subjects: Hindi: 01 post and Geography: 01 post
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 + Grade Pay: 4800/-
Qualification: Two years' Integrated Post Graduate M.Sc course of Regional College of Education of NCERT in the concerned subject
OR
Master's Degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in aggregate in the following subjects:
PGT (Hindi): Hindi or Sansrit with Hindi as one of the subjects at Graduate level.
PGT (Geography): Geography

B.Ed or equivalent degree from a recognized University Proficiency in teaching in Hindi and English medium.

Candidates having Special B.Ed are not eligible for the post of PGT
Desirable qualification: Knowledge of Computer Applications.
Upper age limit: 40 years

2. Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) Group-B post
No. of posts: 144, out of which 01 for Visually Impaired
Subject: English
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 + Grade Pay: Rs. 4600/-
Upper age limit: 35 years
Qualification: Four years integrated degree course of Regional College of Education of NCERT in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
OR
Bachelor's Degree with atleast 50% marks in the concerned subject/combination of subject and in aggregate. The elective subjects and languages in the combination of subjects are as under:

TGT (English) English as a subject in all the three years.

Pass in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Paper-II, conducted by CBSE in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE for the purpose.

Proficiency in teaching in Hindi and English medium.
Desirable: Knowledge of Computer Applications.

3. Primary Teacher (PRT) Group-B post
No. of posts: 220, out of which 03 for Visually Impaired
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800/- + Grade Pay Rs. 4200/-
Upper age limit: 30 years
Qualification: (i) Senior Secondary school certificate with 50% marks or Intermediate with 50% marks or its equivalent.
(ii) Pass in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) conducted by the CBSE in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE for the purpose.
(iii) Competence to teach through Hindi & English medium.
Desirable: Knowledge of Computer Applications.

Age Relaxation: 10 years for PwD candidates.

Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in written examination and interview put together.

The Written examination for the recruitment to the above mentioned posts is likely to be held at following 18 cities:

Candidates with disability of 40% or more, if they need Scribe, will have to bring thier own to assist them in the examination. There is no restriction with regard to educational qualification of age etc. for the scribe.Compensatory time to be allowed for all candidates with disability of 40% or more is 20 minutes per hour of examination. 

No candidate will be admitted for the written examination without the proper Admit Card.

HOW TO APPLY:
Candidates are required to apply Online through Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan web-site at www.kvsangathan.nic.in. No other means/mode of application will be accepted.

No fee is required to be paid by candidates belonging to SC / ST / PH categories and Ex-Service men candidates; hence the steps for payment of fees will not be applicable to them in online application form.

The candidates should take a printout of the online application, affix a recent passport size photograph and preserve it with them for their record. The application printout with photograph affixed will also have to be submitted during document  verification at the time of interview alongwith the self
attested copies of certificates in support of Age, ualification, Experience, Caste, Caste Validity, Non Creamy Layer, Physical disability, etc. as applicable.
