National Association for the Blind Delhi state Branch (NAB) invites applications for the post of Executive Director.

Location: New Delhi

NAB was established & registered in 1979 under the Society Registration Act as the state branch of NAB, India. Initial scope of activities included education facility from preparatory level to senior secondary level of CBSE for the blind, a unit for the multi-handicapped and a unit for the deaf blind, a talking book library, a hostel for the blind children, and a computer training department. These have now expanded to prevention of blindness, organizing weekly eye camps, free cataract surgeries for the urban/rural poor, providing education up to senior secondary level, computer training for the blind, a Braille press, digital talking book production and an Assistive
Technology Helpline.

NAB is known for its pioneering work in the fields of Integrated Education and technology training for the visually impaired all over the country. NAB is a recipient of the best institution National Award from the President of India.

Position: Executive Director
We are hiring for a leadership position that is critical to the smooth functioning of the organization. Based in New Delhi, the Director will lead all the departments of National Association for the Blind.  She/he will report to the President and will line manage heads of departments and their teams.

The Executive Director is responsible for efficient and accountable administration of human resources and administrative functions.

Responsibilities
• develop and maintain functional and efficient human resources management and  administration systems, processes, and procedures
•  Provision of strategic leadership and Administration of different departments namely Hostel for the blind children, old age home for the blind, Human Resource, Finance and Transport.
•   Contribute to budget preparations and audit activities
•   Carry out administrative tasks and other assignments
•   Assisting in fund raising efforts for the organization

The working hours are 10 AM to 5 PM Monday to Saturday.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

Essential: Graduation in any stream (Social sciences may be given preference)

Desirable: Degree/Diploma in Human Resource, Business
Administration Social Work, NGO Management or similar

EXPERIENCE

Experience of 3 years or more in any of the fields given below
is desirable:
•   human resources management and administration in an  NGO, development agency, Government or private sector
•   Dealing with government officials, funding agencies and donors
•   Corporate Social Responsibility or Sustainability teams of corporate houses

SKILLS
•    Strong communication and presentation skills along with the ability to actively interact and communicate with stakeholders
•    Self-driven and a highly motivated team player.
•    Sensitivity to the needs of marginalised people, including disabled, women and gender issues This position is for a person with compassion, commitment, patience, tolerance and honesty.

SALARY
Salary- Negotiable to attract the right candidate
