Score Foundation And Airtel Delhi Half Marathon

Mon, 11/23/2020 - 16:05 -- shabnam.durani@...

Blind and visually impaired people in our country struggle to find employment opportunities in both the public and private sector. With limited options, they are either left dependent on government welfare measures or do odd jobs to fend for themselves. Covid -19 has further added to this problem. Eyeway Helpdesk has been flooded with callers seeking help with income generating avenues to help them stay afloat.

At Score Foundation, we've always believed that self-employment and entrepreneurship is an option with great potential. We have decided to launch program entrepreneurship as a platform to provide blind and visually impaired persons with an opportunity to start their own enterprise. Towards this end, we have started interacting with organizations like Rang de to help with finance, training and business incubation support.

We propose to use the virtual Airtel Delhi Half Marathon starting from 25th to 29th November, 2020 to raise funds (INR 10,00,000) for our latest offering. In this regard, we urge you to become champions of our cause by either making a donation or by raising funds from your network of family and friends.
Please note that all donations are exempt of Income Tax under Section 80G.
