Rourkela Steel Plant, as a part of its continuous commitment and effort to improve the quality of life of its employees needs following professionals  to strengthen the existing team in its Medical Department.

Post: Nursing Sister (Trainee)
No. of posts: 24, out of which 01 for Visually Impaired
Age: 18-28 years
Qualification: B.Sc.(Nursing) from an institute recognized by Nursing Council of India or 10+2/Intermediate in Science with Diploma of 03  (three) years duration in General Nursing and Midwifery from a Govt. recognized institute with valid registration in Nursing Council of India/State Nursing Council and with 01 (one) year post qualification clinical experience in a hospital.

Qualifying Marks in B.Sc.(Nursing) or Diploma in GNM: 50% for GEN/OBC candidates  40% for SC/ST/PWD/Departmental candidates.

The Written Test shall be conducted at Rourkela only. No request for change of examination centre shall be entertained. 

PWDs belonging to categories of disability mentioned against the above posts and having disability of 40% or more shall only be considered. In case of non-availability of suitable candidates of the disability category for which the vacancy is reserved, the same will be filled by interchange from among other suitable disability category. 

SC/ST/PWD/ESM/Departmental candidates are exempted from payment of Application Fee.

No Traveling Expenses would be payable to candidates called for Written Test and Medical Examination. However, outstation candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD categories, attending the Skill Test / Trade Test will be reimbursed single to and fro Sleeper Class Rail fare / Bus fare alongwith reservation and tatkal booking charges, if any from the normal place of correspondence to the place of Skill Test / Trade Test by the
shortest route on production of original ticket(s), provided the distance covered by rail or road is more than 30 kilometers each way.
