Common Recruitment Process for Recruitment of Officers (Scale-I, II & III) and Office Assistants Multipurpose) in Regional Rural Banks (RRBs)
On-line registration including Edit/Modification of Application by candidates: 14.09.2016 to 30.09.2016
The online examination for the next Common Common Recruitment Process for RRBs (RRBs- CWE-V) for recruitment of Group “A”-Officers (Scale-I, II & III) and Group “B”-Office Assistants (Multipurpose) will be
conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) tentatively in November and December 2016.
Any eligible candidate, who aspires to join any of the Regional RuralBanks listed at (A) as Group “A”-Officers (Scale-I, II & III) and Group “B”-Office Assistants (Multipurpose), is required to register for
the Common Recruitment Process (CWE for RRBs-V). For the posts of Officers Scale I and Office Assistants (Multi-purpose) the examination will be two tier i.e. the online examination will be held in two phases,
preliminary and main. Candidates who apply for the post of Office Assistants (Multi-purpose) will be provisionally allotted on the basis of the marks obtained by them in the Main examination and the vacancies reported by the RRBs. For the post of Officers Scale I, candidates who will qualify in preliminary examination and shortlisted will have to appear for Main examination and shortlisted candidates in the main examination will subsequently be called for a Common Interview to be coordinated by the Nodal Regional Rural Banks with the help of NABARD and IBPS in consultation with appropriate authority. Candidates who apply for Scale II (Generalist and Specialists) and Scale III will appear for a single online examination and shortlisted candidates in the single examination will subsequently be called for a Common Interview to be coordinated by the Nodal Regional Rural Banks with the help of NABARD
and IBPS in consultation with appropriate authority. Depending on the vacancies as per the business needs of the Regional Rural Banks and as reported to IBPS, candidates shortlisted will be provisionally allotted to one of the Regional Rural Banks keeping in view the merit cum preference (state wise for Officers in Scale I and Office Assistants (Multipurpose)), the spirit of Govt. Guidelines on reservation policy,
administrative convenience, etc. The validity for CWE for RRBs-V will automatically expire at the close of business on the day which is one year after the date of Provisional Allotment or until a fresh
provisional allotment is made, whichever is earlier, with or without giving any notice.
Posts:
1. Officer Scale-III
Age: 21-40 years
Qualification: Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Preference will be given to the candidates having Degree/ Diploma in Banking,
Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Co-operation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics and Accountancy.
2. Officer Scale-II
Age: 21-32 years
Qualification: Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Preference will be given to the candidates having degree in Banking, Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics and Accountancy.
3. Officer Scale-I
Age: 18-30 years
Qualification: i. Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent
Preference will be given to the candidates having degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and
Cooperation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics and Accountancy;
ii. Proficiency in local language as prescribed by the participating RRB/s
iii. Computer knowledge or awareness will be an added qualification.
4. Office Assistant (Multipurpose)
Age: 18-28 years
Qualification: Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent
(a) Proficiency in local language as prescribed by the participating RRB/s
(b) Desirable: Knowledge of Computer skills.
Age relaxation: Persons With Disability 10 years
Definition of Persons With Disabilities:
Under Section 33 of the Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act 1995 only such persons would be eligible for reservation who suffer from not less than 40% of relevant disability and are certified by a Medical Board constituted by the Central/State Govt.
Accordingly, candidates with the following disabilities are eligible to apply. Candidates claiming such benefits should produce certificate in original in support of their claim at the time of Interview for the
posts of Officers (Scale I, II and III) and at the time of joining for the post of Office Assistants (Multipurpose). Persons With Disabilities will have to work in Branches/ Offices as identified by the respective RRB.
Visually Impaired (VI)
Blindness refers to condition where a person suffers from any of the following conditions namely (1) Total absence of sight, (ii) Visual acuity not exceeding 6/60 or 20/200 (Snellen) in the better eye with correcting lenses. (iii) Limitation of the field of vision subtending in angle of 20 degrees or worse.
Low vision means a person with impairment of visual functioning even after treatment or standard refractive correction but who uses or is potentially capable of using vision for the planning of execution of a
task with appropriate assistive device.
Guidelines for Persons With Disabilities using a Scribe
The visually visually impaired candidates and candidates whose writing speed is adversely affected permanently for any reason can use their own scribe at their cost during the online examination. In all such cases where a scribe is used, the following rules will apply:
The candidate will have to arrange his / her own scribe at his/her own cost.
The scribe may be from any academic stream. However for Specialist Officers’ posts the scribe should be from an academic stream different from that prescribed for the post.
Both the candidate as well as scribe will have to give a suitable undertaking confirming that the scribe fulfils all the stipulated eligibility criteria for a scribe mentioned above. Further in case it later transpires that he/she did not fulfil any laid down eligibility criteria or suppressed material facts the candidature of the applicant will stand cancelled, irrespective of the result of the CWE.
Those candidates who use a scribe shall be eligible for compensatory time of 20 minutes or otherwise advised for every hour of the examination.
The scribe arranged by the candidate should not be a candidate for the examination (RRB CWE V). If violation of the above is detected at any stage of the process, candidature for CWE of both the candidate and the scribe will be cancelled. Candidates eligible for and who wish to use the services of a scribe in the examination should invariably carefully indicate the same in the online application form. Any subsequent request may not be favourably entertained.
APPLICATION FEE/ INTIMATION CHARGES: Rs. 100/- for SC/ST/PWD candidates.
HOW TO APPLY:
A candidate can apply for the Post of Office Assistant (Multipurpose) and can also apply for the Post of Officer.
However a candidate can apply for only one post in officer’s cadre i.e. for Officer Scale-I or Scale-II or Scale-III.
Candidates have to apply separately and pay fees / intimation charges separately for each post.
Candidates can apply online only from 14.09.2016 to 30.09.2016 and no other mode of application will be accepted.
CALL LETTERS:
The Centre, venue address, date and time for examinations and interview shall be intimated in the respective Call Letter.
An eligible candidate should download his/her call letter from the authorised IBPS website www.ibps.in by entering his/ her details i.e. Registration Number and Password/Date of Birth. No hard copy of the call
letter/ Information Handout etc. will be sent by post/ courier.
Call letter for Scribe in the Examination: There will be an additional call letter for Scribe for the Main Examination for the Post of Office Assistant and Officer Scale-I and for the post of Officer Scale-II & III
in single examination.
